Review : Diorshow Mascaras

I have used many mascaras, the best mascara I have ever used so far is Diorshow Iconic by Dior.

The first Dior mascara I tried was Diorshow. It gives beautiful lashes without having to apply half the contents of the bottle, pleasant smelling, and gives long and separated lashes. It is also available in a waterproof version, and a blacker version named "blackout", however I don't think the original Diorshow could get much blacker.

The price is a downer at £20 each from Debenhams, however it definitely worth a try if you have the spare cash. The mascara comes in a silver mirrored box, and the mascara bottle itself has Dior written all over the top half, so there will be no guesses who made the mascara. However I find that it is tastefully done, and if you like to flash the labels then this is a bonus (unless you use blackout, which is a plain black bottle).

Overall, I would give this a 8/10. The price being the downer, and I feel the mascara could last a bit longer on the lashes then it does, and the first few times you use it so much product is on the brush that it clumps a little. I still think that it is worth a try, I think it will probably go on different for different people :]

Dior Diorshow Iconic

Now, Diorshow Iconic is a whole different matter. I thought the only difference would be that it gave a bit of extra curve in comparison, but the brush is completely different and so the effect is completely different. I found it never clumped, the lashes were a lot more separate and also longer. The bottle is silver with Dior embossed all down it and has Diorshow Iconic and Dior written down the side in black. The box is just the same as the regular Diorshow. It also comes in a waterproof version.

The perfect satchel

Satchels are probably one of the most useful bag styles around, mainly because of the handy shape, smart look for work or school, and just for looking classy around town.

Now, I have found that coach have some of the best satchels around. I have some suggestions below;

I particularly like the vintage leather carry all (pictured right) which has 2 main compartments and is big enough for a laptop and A4 paper pads etc. It is perfect on many levels; looks, usefulness, practicality, and quality. This is no longer on the website, however there may be some used ones cropping up at a lower price tag then the $700+ original price.

The coach Lily (available in XL, L & M) is a popular choice, again for it's versatility and looks. There have been issues with it's weight, however I assume this is dependent upon the size and what bags you have previously been used to. It comes with the benefit of coming in different colours and leathers (such as ostrich).

A drawback of coach is that it is not available in the UK, apart from the odd bag in TK Maxx from many seasons ago. However the benefits are the lower prices then most designers, and the good quality leathers which with the right care, will last decades.

An obligatory introduction

Hello, and welcome to Laura's Look Book.

Basically I will be posting things such as make-up, beauty and fashion that I have stumbled across and would like to share, I will also be doing reviews, as everyone to their own. I will be posting what I think people would like to see, and what I find (from personal experience) are the best buys!

I love shoes, make-up and clothes, however I am a sucker for cute handbags, and this may be shown through my posts.

I hope any of you who stumble across this blog enjoy my observations and suggestions, and find some good buys along the way :D
